Join Rosecrance Behavioral Health for a professional development workshop. The training will demonstrate treatment modalities that help clients discover new passions and positive tools for managing their recovery over the long term through Therapeutic Recreation (TR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Three CEU's will be provided.
This free training provides participants with the opportunity to engage in activities and interventions utilized at Rosecrance for behavioral health treatment for both adults and adolescents. Attendees will also learn how to effectively incorporate these techniques into their own settings in practical ways, positively impacting individuals abilities to learn and adopt healthy coping strategies. Participants will learn about the role of TR and DBT in treating behavioral health, increasing their understanding of:
* The four core areas of DBT (distress tolerance, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation) and associated skills.
* TR interventions as a support resource.
* How DBT can be implemented in experiential therapy settings.
