Out of the Box Theatre Co. presents THE HOLLOW CROWN
Out of the Box Theatre Company, for Part Two of its seventh season, presents a staged reading of THE HOLLOW CROWN: An Entertainment by and about the Kings and Queens of England. Devised by John Barton, THE HOLLOW CROWN comprises "music, poetry, speeches, letters, and other writings from the Chronicles, from Plays, and in the Monarchs' own Words--also Music concerning them and by them."
From the comic to the tragic, from the complimentary to the less than flattering, the readings and songs of THE HOLLOW CROWN present "the Falls and Foibles of the Kings and Queens of England," from William the Conqueror to Queen Victoria, as seen by their admirers, their detractors, and themselves.
This Equity Showcase production will be directed by noted theater, film and TV actor/director John Christopher Jones with musical director William Lyon Lee.
