SATC 5th Anniversary Celebration
Since 2009, the Scandinavian American Theater Company has collaborated with over 200 theater artists from around the world. Next Sunday we will be celebrating the continued growth and success of one of NYC's most unique, young companies. We could not have done this without you and would love to have you join us!
There's a complimentary drink with each ticket and be sure to arrive on time! Throughout the evening we will feature three talented singer/songwriters and good friends:
Kjersti Kveli (Norway) is a multi-talented performer who works in both popular and experimental music, among other genres and art forms. She has performed for the Royal Family of Norway and debuted her first album, Release the Virgin, in 2012.
Kendra Lou (Denmark) has been performing for over ten years with groups including Solar System, The Society and producer Thomas Haas. She has been heard at The Copenhagen Jazz Festival several times and is currently working on her second album, Songs of the Black Moon.
Anette Norgaard (Denmark) is not only an accomplished voice teacher and performer, but also a founding member of SATC. With the company, she was seen in several shows, including the one-woman musical, Dramatically Different, and has recently released her first album, A North Node.
Over the course of the evening we are also offering a silent auction with a wide-range of unique and valuable donations from our many friends in NYC and beyond. Some of these items include:
- Merchandise from the Broadway musical Rocky - Two pieces from Iranian visual artist/actor, Arash Mohktar (www.arashmokhtar.com) - Two private sessions with Personal Trainer and Running Coach, Licia James Zegar - Artwork by painter/playwright, Tom Sime (http://www.denisebibrofineart.com)
As well as: a dinner for two from our wonderful hosts at The Copenhagen, voice lessons with performer, Anette Norgaard, paella-cooking lessons from company founder, Henning Hegland, two tickets to the opening night of our fall production, Bastards of Strindberg...AND MORE!
(Don't forget to bring a few singles to throw in the tombola and try your luck on even more prizes!)
As always, we have greatly appreciated your generosity and support over the years, whether in person or in spirit. If you are unable to attend please consider donating a gift by either purchasing a ticket or making a tax-deductible donation through Fractured Atlas, here: https://www.fracturedatlas.org/donate/2939

In a series of isolated scenes of various lengths, Sigurjónsson examines the relationships between a mother, a father, their homosexual son and his boyfriend. Themes like machismo, longing, love, sex, upbringing and marriage are dealt with an equal amount of seriousness and humor.
WE CAN'T WAIT TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU AND GET READY FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS!
