Every year Trinacria Theatre Company has an incredible time nurturing a home for the arts within communities at home and across the globe.
This year was no different: We welcomed four global artists to join us for our annual arts residency in Pezzolo, where they showcased their work with the Messinesi Community for our Summer Trinacria Arts Festival in the Pezzolo valley overlooking the Ionian Sea!
This year we are excited to announce we will be opening the doors of Casa Trinacria! We have received the generous donation of a house where we now begin preparations to welcome more global artists, tourists and Trinacria Theatre Company fans in the coming years.
Messina Today featured our walking tours on Sentiero Bettaci "a bridge between Cumia and Pezzolo, where the villages rediscover their history". We're thrilled to continue these tours into 2025. Watch here: https://www.messinatoday.it/green/ponte-cumia-pezzolo-villaggi-riscoprono-la-storia.html
Our accomplished Artistic Director Mariagrazia La Fauci was featured on the prestigious TEDx Modena with her inspiring idea that "la creatività ha una natura contagiosa e cioè larte può salvare i luoghi e le persone" (creativity has a contagious nature and that is that art can save places and people).
We also began our "Coffee, Chiacchiere and Cards" community gathering series, with the inaugural event in NYC with generous support from St John's University, Settepani Bakery, Caffè De Martini NYC and our phenomenal contributing artists.
In 2025, we have big goals: To continue our mission of supporting our local and global communities through access to extraordinary arts, AND to fix this new amazing house!
OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $25,000.00 BY JANUARY 31ST, 2025!!!!
The money will help us refurbish the house so that long-term we can support Trinacria Theatre Company both financially and artistically by housing artists, audiences and optimistic guests.
