Featuring Kathy Mattea, John McCutcheon, Susie Glaze in a tribute the decades of song and spirit brought to us by Jean Ritchie. Jean's career spans over 7 decades and has influenced musicians around the world.
Join us for this special concert and the release of a new album honoring Jean and her many contributions. Held in the historic Union Church in Berea, the arts and crafts capital of Kentucky, this one time only concert promises to be a night of extraordinary performances by some of America's most talented artists.
A very limited number of VIP tickets will bring you special seating, a CD signed by the artists, and an after-concert reception with the performers and the guest of honor.
This is a pre-release concert to honor Jean Ritchie, in advance of the release of the new CD set entitled "Dear Jean - Artists Celebrate Jean Ritchie", produced by Mick Lane, Charlie Pilzer, and Dan Schatz. This tribute is intended to show the influence of Jean Ritchie on our musical heritage. It is a two CD set and features tracks from Judy Collins, Pete Seeger, Janis Ian, Peggy Seeger, Robbie O'Connell, John McCutcheon ,Susie Glaze, Magpie, Robin & Linda Williams, Rachael Davis, Kim & Reggie Harris,Marcy Marxer & Cathy Fink, Elizabeth LaPrelle,Oscar Brand, Lorraine Hammond, Riki Schneyer, Starry Mountain, Jon & Peter Pickow, Atwater Donnelly, Big Medicine, Sam Amidon, Ralston Bowles w/ May Erlewine, Mick Lane & Pat Broaders, Debra Cowan & John Roberts, Dan Schatz, and Matt Brown. This 2 CD set will be available at the concert for $15.00 a copy.
