We are delighted that Cindy and Craig Corrie will be our keynote presenters! Their presentation is entitled "Working for Justice, Searching for Peace: Israeli and Palestinian Peacemakers." The Corries are the parents of Rachel, for whom the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice is named. Rachel was a volunteer with the International Solidarity Movement when she was killed by the Israeli military in Gaza as she was trying to prevent demolition of a Palestinian home.
After the keynote presentations, we will have Questions & Answers with the Corries, and then small group discussions.
We will also have Youth Activist presentations by current and former members of WWFOR's Mike Yarrow Peace Fellowship program. WWFOR provides these youth aged 14-23 with nonviolence training and mentorship as each fellow works on an individual project.
This is always an informative and meaningful event, with attendee participation and music.
