Ryland Moranz at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club
Ryland Moranz is coming into his own in these strange times. With years of international touring under his belt, Ryland has stepped into the great beyond, empathetically exploring his own stories and the stories of others. His album, Better/Worse (Oct 2024) takes a passionate look at the world we live in and the people who inhabit it.
Rylands album XO, 1945 was nominated for the Canadian Folk Music Awards Contemporary Album of the Year in 2021.

Geoff McKenzie will open the evening.
Geoff writes songs that are about something. Love and its malfunctions, candied moonlight, at least one murder ballad and the plot of a drugstore novel set to rhyme. Its hard to tell if hes a disgraced poet who got good at guitar or verse vice-a, but somewhere along the line he raised a brood of restless folk songs that will jump in your lap and seize hold of your feelings.
