The Iberoamerican Short Film in Competition program features diverse short films from Costa Rica, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Chile, and Uruguay, showcasing a rich tapestry of storytelling from across the Iberoamerican region.

Synopsis: Daniel, an introverted and cautious photographer who's living with his new girlfriend, begins to feel observed by some strange men in overcoats whom he photographs in the subway station.

Synopsis: "The smell of the flowers" follows Mara, an actress who struggles with mental health issues, while being the protagonist of a musical stage play based on Shakespeare's character Ophelia. As the story moves forward the reality of Mara starts to mix with the character's arc, leading her to lose her mind and end in a tragic way.

Synopsis: Erma (50s, Cuban) arrives to Little Haiti with a painting. She needs to find the man in this painting. Who could he be? She doesnt know. All she knows: her son painted him and that the man lives in Little Haiti. Unable to speak English, she enlists the help of Wilky (14, Haitian-American). The two venture into the colorful neighborhood on his electric scooter, showing the painting to locals, with hopes of finding the man. When they do find him, Erma reveals to him that her son passed away. The man (also a painter) surprises Erma with a portrait of her son.
