Do You SEE Me? An Introduction to The MotherWoman Support Group Model©
PSI of Washington is sponsoring a one-day introduction to the MotherWoman model of support groups. MotherWoman has trained PSI WA members in this adaptable group model for the past 2 years and it is being successfully implemented in postpartum support groups throughout Washington. In this unique one-day training opportunity, you will learn -- and experience -- the principles of the MotherWoman Group Model, as well as tools that you will be able to use with women in any setting.
MotherWoman Groups are structured and facilitated groups for mothers based on SEE --Safety, Education and Empowerment. They provide safe spaces where mothers can speak honestly in an environment of mutual respect, find their inherent strength and voice, connect authentically with other women, break down isolation and gain much-need perspective and validation.
