WTS Puget Sound May 13 Lunch Program - Effective Presentations: Speaking with Confidence
Join us on May 13 for a presentation and discussion with Karen Johnston of Johnston Training Group Public speaking is the number one fear people have, according to the Book of Lists. Yet, presenting effectively to groups and managing the interaction of informal groups is crucial to winning projects, advancing professionally and moving projects forward. Effective Presentations: Speaking With Confidence will address the following issues: How to handle nervousness How to make sure your gestures, rate of speech, inflection and volume communicate confidence. How to encourage but manage meaningful interaction Special focus will be given to the interview preparation process and the techniques that work well in those high-pressure presentations. Karen Johnston, MA, is president of Johnston Training Group, Inc. In addition to providing interview coaching, Johnston Training Group designs and delivers customized training programs in facilitation skills, presentation skills, and business development. Ms. Johnston coaches and trains both novice and experienced presenters at all organizational levels, including CEOs, project managers, and technical experts.
