Headlining Sets From:
DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn (TEKLIFE/ Hyperdub Records) (Chicago, USA)
DJ Rashad: Chicago kingpin, DJ Rashad, has been a quintessential figurehead in the evolution from Ghetto House to Footwork and its predecessor Juke. Consistently progressing the style, Rashad has been a bastion of the sound. His contributions have acted as blueprints and remain indispensable. His open production approach has helped him craft a unique brand of Footwork that is deeply rooted in Chicago's history of House as well as Soul, Funk, Jazz and HipHop, simultaneously pushing the boundaries of House music into entirely new regions.
Rashad was born in Chicago, moving to the deep south suburb of Callumet City soon after. By the time he entered high school, he was a veteran dancer on the south side, cutting his teeth with the some of the most respected dance groups including HouseOMatics, The Phyrm, and Wolf Pac. Rashad promptly graduated to DJing and producing, making a plethora of highoctane Ghettohouse mix tapes.
Repping Beatdown House alongside DJ Spinn, a clique founded by DJ Clent, the group dissolved over differences some years later. Rashad and Spinn remained close counterparts, crafting the sound that is heard today along with contemporaries such as RP Boo and Traxman. Soon after leaving Beatdown, Rashad and Spinn founded theGhettoteknitianz. At present, the clique is the largest in the city, wellover a dozen strong producer wise, allied with dancers all over the cities south and west sides; such as Red Legends, The Foundation, Terra Squad, Wolf Pac, Taliban, Nu Era, Leaders of the New School and many more.
Rashad remains an archetypal figure, pioneering the sound that Footworkers dance to today. While tracks such as "Girl Bust Down", "Blowed Like The Wind" and "4 The Ghetto" established him as a local legend, his influence can be heard the world over from the young track makers of Chicago to internationally acclaimed acts such as Addison Groove, Africa Hitech, Nguzunguzu as well as a magnitude of others.

DJ Spinn: Whether producing, writing, or Djing, DJ SPINN always has stayed at the top of his game. Starting out at the early age of 14, SPINN already had his mind set on the future when it came to music. In 1997 DJ SPINN gained a honorable reputation spinning for one of Chicago's # 1 dance groups - Chicago's infamous "House-O-Matics".
n 1998, DJ SPINN and long time friend and label mate DJ RASHAD got an opportunity to drop one Chicago's favorite tracks of that time "Bout It Bout It Mix" on "Dance Mania Records". Another hit from DJ SPINN soon followed "Muthaf#ka" (a Paul Johnson Remake) which gained him more production credits on the local mixtape circuit. Between creating mixtapes and DJ credit at parties it would only be a matter of time before DJ SPINN would rightfully earn his place next to legends such as Traxman, DJ Rashad, DJ Funk, Paul Johnson, Jammin Gerald, DJ Deeon, DJ Milton, DJ Slugo, DJ Nephets, DJ PJ, and DJ Gant-Man to name a few.
Since 2000 Chicago's house scene has evolved into what is now known as "JUKE MUSIC" and the "JUKE" movement is growing day by day, city by city and at the front of the line are DJ SPINN, DJ RASHAD, TRAXMAN, DJ Manny, DJ Tre & Boylan bringing the style & flavor of the ol'school mixed with the energy & emotion of the new school. In 2007 DJ SPINN produced the track "Bounce & Break Yo Back" which has and still remains the Bang Tha Box Recordingz #1 highest selling single on the label as well has the his album " Jukin & Footworkin Volume 1" released in 2009. With hits on labels such Planet Mu, Bang Tha Box Recordingz, Juke Trax, and many others. DJ Spinn and DJ Rashad have more recently founded a DJ & production crew called the "TekLife". TekLife are veteran DJs & producers who reach back and mentor younger DJs in the music business as well as the business of being a DJ and Producer. There are TekLife now in every major city of the US, UK & Europe and they are growing.
This only just the beginning of DJ SPINN - the world has yet to see what next DJ SPINN has up his sleeve.

DJ Godfather Detroit, Michigan (JukeTrax/Databass Records/DirtyKnock) :
DJ Godfather is considered one of the founding fathers of the genre we now know as Ghetto Tech. He started DJing at the age of 15 with the help of, now business partner, DJ Dick. Within a few months of getting his turntables, Godfather was already playing in nightclubs and after hour parties all over Detroit. He started producing at the age of 17 for his first Miami Bass style group Bass Association. With the buzz of a few singles off the Bass Association album on 3 Detroit radio stations, Godfather made his first solo record at the age of 18 on the now Twilight 76 Records entitled "Work Dat". Taking his turntablism skills and mixing Detroit Techno music with Miami Bass music, and new sound was born, Ghetto Tech.
With the formation of their new record label Twilight 76 with partners DJ Dick and Brian Gillespie, he took his talent and turned it into an entire business creating 3 other labels known as Databass Records, D.E.T. Only (An exclusive label with only 1000 copies of each release), and Juke Trax (A label dedicated to the Chicago style of Ghetto House and Juke music). With all 4 record labels combined, Godfather and his partners released over 250 vinyl releases and mix CD releases, selling over 700,000 units worldwide.
You can hear DJ Godfather tracks on the 2 videos games, NBA 2K6 and NBA 2K7 on 2K Sports. He was also the first DJ to be released on the Serato digital download series, using Scratch Live technology and tracks only available digitally for a mix cd entitled "For The Freaks".
With 12 vinyl record sales slowing down over the past years, Godfather and his partners stopped pressing vinyl and embraced the digital download world with their own digital distribution company and 2 online MP3 stores, Secretremixes.com for Mashups and DJ Remixes along with Electrobounce.com for Ghetto Tech, Electro, Techno and Juke music. They also started Soundbully.com, A digital distribution company that offers digital distribution to over 180 MP3 stores and ring tone carriers worldwide.
DJ Godfather plays it all from open format/mashup parties to the deepest ghetto tech parties incorporating his battle style turntablism in his sets. He has played across the globe numerous times in cities all over Europe, Asia, Australia, United States, Canada, China, Japan and South America and receives worldwide recognition.
