August Sustainability Gathering: Papermaking
Join us for a workshop on papermaking on Saturday, August 31st! It's easier than you'd think, and you can even do it at home. Gardening from 9-11; workshop from 11-1. Included in all of our monthly events is a mutual aid distro (seeds, repro supplies, narcan, etc.). The workshop and all supplies are free; donations are welcome. Please note this event is taking place in St.Cloud, in Osceola county, near Lake Nona.
This monthly event is co-hosted by Blue Trunk Community Network and Central Florida Mutual Aid.
Blue Trunk Community Gardens goal is to maintain a sustainable operation by practicing ecological sustainability and providing members of the community with knowledge of the importance of agriculture, community and trade. "Growing Food and Power Through Sustainable Arts and Culture." https://www.instagram.com/bluetrunkcommunitynetwork/
Central Florida Mutual Aid is a collective of regular folx in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties practicing mutual aid. CFLMA aims to be democratic, decentralized, and non-hierarchical. We center the voices and needs of those most impacted by systems of oppression. For CFLMA, mutual aid has three crucial elements: collaborating to meet each other's needs, having a shared understanding that the systems we live within are oppressive and not meeting our needs, and working together to strategically address root causes and bring about radical change. https://www.instagram.com/cflmutualaid/
