WHO'S LYING DOWN IN YOUR HEART? by Eva Poole-Gilson is a searing drama that examines two sisters who share a childhood filled with painful secrets. For mature audiences.
This live theatre/film hybrid production is directed by Traci Mettler-Bradbury and funded in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
The show is produced by Poetic Justice Project, in partnership with Allan Hancock College's Film & Video Department in Santa Maria; Restorative Partners in San Luis Obispo; Edison Theatre in Mammoth Lakes; Alpine Center for Counseling and Recovery in Bishop, and Women's Center High Desert in Ridgecrest.
Real-life sisters Rosemary and Tina Grace play sisters Ellen and Veronica in the play. Guillermo Willie plays Grampa.
Appearing on film are Bull Chaney, Toni De La Guerra, Leonard Flippen, Jorge Manly Gil, Janet Guess, Alex Lopez, Renee Lopez, Barbara Reeger, Topanga Saldana, Maux Samuel and Chris Sanchez.
Poetic Justice Project, a program of the William James Association, is a theatre company of formerly incarcerated people based in Santa Maria.
