A Grand Tea Party
In celebration of 1001 Western Ave becoming the permanent home of Art for Food, we are throwing a sumptuous tea party with the help of our friends: Chefs Maria Hines (Tilth, Golden Beetle, Agrodolce), Jason Franey (Canlis), and Garrett Melkonian (Mamnoon); Nic Virrey and Brandon Paul Weaver from Matte and Gloss, as well as several performers and artists.
The fĂȘte will include five interactive spaces featuring our modern interpretation of:
~An elegant and whimsical Japanese Tea Ceremony ~A proper British High Tea ~An indulgent French Salon ~A lavish Middle Eastern Lounge ~The Mad Hatter's Tea Party
The heart of the Art for Food project is to promote the interdisciplinary collaboration of chefs, producers, artists, educators and scientists through the universal language of food.
To that end, we have teamed together with an incredible group to provide you with a series of tastes, experiences and libations!
Join us for an evening of fun and indulgence!
The Art for Food Team
Artist Julia Harrison, dress designer Nora Holley, botanist and tea master Sarah Farr, food performers Café Nordo, wood maker John Blunt, and floral genius Ayako Gordon will design the space.
***Ticket sales are limited to 120 for the evening. Prices are $85 online, and $105 at the door on the evening of the event. Prices are all inclusive of food, drinks, tax, and gratuity.***
Dressing to your favorite theme is encouraged, but not required. Best outfit for each theme will go home with a gift!
