ILL-Esha w/ Subsqswad, Mydriasis, In Plain Sight, and Spaghettiman
ill-ēsha: Hailing from Vancouver, BC (and inspired deeply by two years in San Francisco before recently moving to Denver, Colorado), ill-esha burst onto the North American electronic scene originally as a drum & bass vocalist featured on various releases for the likes of Breakbeat Science, Fokuz, and BluSaphir, gradually becoming known for the seamless incorporation of original vocals and MCing into her DJ sets. Her multi-dimensional approach spans every color in the bass music rainbow, creating a dynamic live show which has set ill-esha apart amidst some of electronic music's most groundbreaking acts her current live show features mostly original music chopped, screwed and beatmatched with live vocal effects and loops over top.
Subsqwad: SubSqwad is Brian Amaral and Kenny Ferron. They create and perform a unique blend of Glitch Hop, World Bass, and Future Funk. Their live performances seamlessly blend genres, styles, & influences. 2013 has seen the release of SubSqwad's EP "The Light" featuring conscious hip-hop vocals from Chopp Devize and Campaign as well as their release on the compilation "Ethnostep 3" under the SUBBASS netlabel. Their music has been aired on FM radio broadcasts in Miami, Knoxville, and Asheville as well as internet radio shows and blogs from GlobalFunkRadio, Asheville FM, and OMbilikal FM. They've performed at music festivals and clubs throughout Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Nevada, and Georgia, including iconic events such as Ultra Music Festival, Earth Dance, Burning Man, and Art Basel Miami. When not performing, SubSqwad produces music in their studio as they constantly explore new influences and push the boundaries of genre and style.
In Plain Sight: Out of Asheville, North Carolina comes In Plain Sight, three DJs and producers united towards a global, progressive groove. The "Paris of the South" is a perfect home for the trio, as it's a renowned creative beacon, drawing artistic types of many persuasions and styles, fostering a zone of constant inspiration. Some may be surprised that electronic music is a big part of Asheville's creative wellspring. Of course, Bob Moog was brainstorming his famous synthesizers in Asheville for the last portion of his life which may make the connection more tangible. In the present, the city's generosity of flavors combined with its imagination and electronic music esteem allowed three different musical souls to come together and form an exciting progressive house combo. This is In Plain Sight, comprised of Ezekiel, Lucas Ledford and Nomad in the Dark.
Mydriasis: A'aron of the tribe of Vagrante Bishops doth bring the flowing sounds that moved across the waters. Weaving aural journeys of emotive and complex soundscapes to bring you to novel ecstasis. Glitched ambiance and magick wyrds to activate your neurons. Mydriasis has been dilating the pupils of the inner eye through the medium of the spheres at outdoor gatherings, in reverence with nature, as well as Urban Shamanic expeditions inside the ruins of Modern Society for almost a decade, focusing on sharing unique sounds to expand horizons.
SpaghettiMan: Buster Sims a.k.a. SpaghettiMan is widely known for his unique and versatile blend of superb psychedelic soundscapes, particularly but not exclusively catering to the trance community. He lives in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC in the United States.
