Christopher Daniels is no stranger to the theater or the playful art of improv. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with BA in Psychology which he has found to be an invaluable tool in theater. He began his career on stage as a drag queen, performing and hosting shows in Madison, Chicago, Amsterdam, and now here in Reno, where he has been voted Best Drag Queen three years running. He has had the opportunity to work with many theaters in town including Good Luck Macbeth, Bruka, and Tavern Theatre. He currently is a principal member of Reno's number one comedy troupe and Reno's Best Bet for Comedy, The Utility Players; a position he has held for the past four years. During that time he has written musicals, authored and directed a number of murder mysteries, and, in collaboration with producing director Jessica Levity, developed team building improv workshops for Sleep Train, Link-Up International, Wayne's Automotive Center, and the Northern Nevada Outreach Team. He recently left Planned Parenthood where he served as a Community Educator. As part of his job he ran and facilitated workshops and ongoing intervention programs with Pine Middle School, Traner Middle School, Jan Evans, and Big Brother Big Sisters. He has a passion for working with youth and empowering young people to discover their best and authentic selves. He looks forward to working with the students of Spotlight Academy and inspiring them with laughter and improv.
