HOUSE FIRE by Carol Y. Lee
Laurie, a 29-year-old morgue janitor, dies suddenly in a house fire for which she's responsible, only to arrive at the Multi-Purpose Room: a liminal space between life and afterlife. There she meets her orientation leaders - her grandma, her fiancé's mother, and an old high school classmate - who assign her three tasks to complete if she hopes to move on ... to whatever comes next. *********** Parley presents a world premiere workshop production.
