Yes You Can Preserving Food
Canning Tomatoes, Salsas and Sauces - August 14th 2-4pm and 6:30 8:30pm
Tomatoes are so versatile and are great in so many preserved products like salsas, sauces and more. BUT there are safety measures to keep in mind when putting up those red devils, especially when combining them with other ingredients. Learn what those specific rules are for safety. As a bonus, you will learn what to do with those tomato skins instead of tossing them in the compost pile or down the drain.
Classes will be taught by Sandy Brown, retired WSU Extension Food Safety Emeritus faculty. She has 35 years experience in preserving food safely and helping others do the same. Join her for some informative discussions on how to preserve food easily and safely.
