BILL MERRYWEATHER LIVE AT THE FLYING BEAVER PUBARET!
SATURDAY, APRIL 19 - 7pm BILL MERRYWEATHER: "ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC"
Join Bill as he leads us on a whimsical exploration of music about well...music.
With such diverse numbers as "Sing a Song" from Sesame Street, "There Won't be Trumpets" from Anyone Can Whistle and Barry Manilow's "I Write the Songs" (seriously?), Bill takes stock of tunes that talk about other tunes...and instruments...and voices. And is a parade really music?
This is Bill's third solo performance at The Pubaret. On two nights in November 2012 he debuted "Affairs of the Heart", his inaugural cabaret performance, and followed that last November with "Barbra and Me", a look at some of the lesser known but key Streisand songs that propelled her career forward.
He has also performed in two HALCO (HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario) Debriefed Fundraising Cabarets, and is known for his series of one-man "Fundy Boy" shows which have raised more than $15,000 for such charities as the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation, Fife House, the HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario, and Singing Out!
