Dorje Dragpo Tsal Empowerment
Date: Saturday, July 27th Time: 10:00 am In person only
One of the main practices of the 40th Sakya Trichen, Ngawang Thutob Wangchuk, was the special form of Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) in which he is known by his mystic name, Dorje Dragpo Tsal. The practice was also close to the heart of H.H. the late Sakya Jigdal Dagchen Dorje Chang, who instructed Avikrita Rinpoche to revive the monthly puja of this practice in India. The practice is considered very precious and powerful for clearing obstacles, and for manifesting spiritual realizations. This empowerment is indispensable for the sadhana as well as to attend the sacred puja in India and elsewhere. This is the first time that this sacred empowerment is being bestowed at Sakya Monastery.
My noble father did the sadhana of Guru Dorje Dragpo Tsals mind-accomplishment every day. He attended every 10th day puja in Sakya, where this puja was done. He said that this practice, with all its prayers in seven chapters, was very important for the welfare of Tibetan Buddhism. Now is the time for it to be revived. You must do it! H.H. Sakya Jigdal Dagchen Dorje Chang to H.E. Khöndung Avikrita Vajra Rinpoche
