King Lear is sometimes considered Shakespeare's most epic work; a play as vast as the storm it is famous for. It is a play about sedition, succession anxiety, and a country on the brink of war. But at its heart, Lear is a family drama about an aging father who divides his kingdoms among younger strengths, perhaps before he is ready. King Lear follows a fathers elemental journey from monarch to man, and from blindness to sight. What is love if it cannot tell us the truth? With original music by Ian Ferguson and Ivan Dillard, we invite you to see it feelingly.
