Lula Washington Dance Theatre - 2024 Recital
This year we are delighted to present students from 107th Street Elementary School who have been studying dance with us since February.
LWDT is known for developing dynamic dancers and choreographers. This year our Recital is focussed on showing off how far the students have come with a theme of Process and Legacy. Teachers have spent the last several weeks working with students to nurture the developing young dancers.
Whats even more exciting is that this year we revived our drum workshops with our Music and Media Manager, Marcus L. Miller, (www.marcusmillerdrums.com), training a new generation of percussionists and drummers.
We are so very proud of our students! Beyond dance we can see growth in many areas, students building brain muscle by retaining not only dance steps, but musicality, spacial awareness, social etiquette and cultural enrichment.
If you have a child in our school, this is one "life development" you do not want to miss!
If you are considering putting your child in dance this is great way to introduce them to dance.
