ARCHITECT, an exclusive event for our associate members Presented by: Leanna Libourel, Associate AIA, LEEP AP BD+C Leanna works at Gruen Associates in Los Angeles, CA and volunteers as the IDP State Coordinator for Southern California for NCARB and the AIA California Council. She also represents emerging professionals by serving on AIA and NCARB committees at local, state, and national levels.
Becoming a licensed architect in California can be confusing, frustrating, sometimes even time consuming. As an individual in the process, it is important to understand the requirements and the procedure that will lead you to your goal. As a licensed professional, it is important to be informed about the challenges that today's emerging professionals face in becoming architects, so you may be an effective mentor and guide.
The presentation will focus mostly on the Intern Development Program, but will also touch on education requirements, the Architect Registration Exams, and reciprocity in other states. Seminar (Learning) Objectives will cover: Education and Experience Requirements for Licensure, Understanding the requirements of NCARB ,Preparing for The Architecture Registration Examinations (ARE), Eligibility for The California Supplemental Examination (CSE) Date: Monday April 28, 2014 Time: 5:30pm-check-in 5:45pm-presentation
