Steve Broderick & 100 Watt Suns | Longshot Voodoo (15.00)
The 100 Watt Suns is an indie band on the coastline of Connecticut, in the shadow the of the Millstone reactor that plays nuclear roots rock. Sometimes it's smooth sailing, acoustic and stripped down, sometimes blistering and high octane. Like an exceptional minor league ball team, ringers right in your backyard without the high ticket prices and $8 dollar beers. Where it's about the thrill of the game, players with heart, and it's not about the hassles and the parking where maybe you're better off checking it later on TIVO. The 100 Watt Suns, with the guidance of music industry legend David Krebs, have just released a 5 song EP mixed by Jay Messina a world-class engineer/producer who's discography includes classic albums by Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, and Miles Davis to name a few. The songs, harmonies and performances on The 100 Watt Suns draw comparisons to Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, The Avett Brothers, and Amos Lee. Classic artists right alongside current artists all inspired by the same roots.
Steve Broderick (Ten year vocalist for Trans Siberian Orchestra), Dan Watson, Bill Light, Don Culp, Marty Maroney
Longshot Voodoo melds the essence of 60's and 70's classic rock, and many diverse musical influences, Longshot Voodoo combines the very best of acoustic rock, blues, folk and originals while entertaining audiences with their sincerity and power.
