Tour and Tasting at Kings County Distillery
Tour New York City's oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since prohibition, with Kings County Distillery's very own Master Blender, Nicole Austin.
She will demonstrate how the distillery transforms New York grain into handmade moonshine and bourbon with traditional distilling equipment. After the tour, Nicole will pour samples of the distillery's distinctive whiskies, and NYWCA member Erica Ducey will demonstrate how to make super-local cocktails with them. There will be light nibbles during sampling, and after the tour and tasting, you will have the chance to eat at one of the fine restaurants around the Navy Yard and DUMBO (pay on your own; suggestions to come). Kings County Distillery's whiskies and Erica's cocktail book will be available for sale.
