VIEWPOINTS WORKSHOP TECHNIQUE FOR ACTORS WORKSHOP Led by Holly Natwora FOR AGES 16 and up. ALL LEVELS APRIL 27, 2014 11 - 3:30 $20
(Reno, NV) Holly Natwora will lead a Viewpoints Acting Workshop based on the work created by Anne Bogart. "Viewpoints" is a technique of composition that provides a vocabulary for thinking about and acting upon movement and gesture and creates staging for the actor and director. This workshop is open for ages 16 and up, all levels of performers and will be held on April 27, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Bruka Theatre as part of Brüka's Artist in The House Series.. Bring water and comfortable, flexible clothing that you can move around in. The workshop is limited to 16 students and must have a minimum of 6. The cost for the session is $20. Please reserve your space in advance.
ABOUT THEATRE ARTIST HOLLY NATWORA Holly received her MFA from Columbia University in NYC and has performed in over 50 plays including two summers at Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival with Leiv Schreiber and Michael C Hall. Holly has also appeared in television and film, most notably in Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Since moving to Reno in 2005, Holly has performed or directed at the Brüka Theatre, Reno Little Theater, Good Luck Macbeth, and TheatreWorks of Northern Nevada. Previously, Holly taught a successful auditioning class at UNR in which she incorporated Suzuki and Viewpoint techniques, something she learned first hand while studying with Anne Bogart and her SITI Company members at Columbia. Holly is currently directing Les Liaisons Dangereuses for Brüka and is the box office manager and an ensemble artist with Brüka Theatre.

Brüka's Artist In The House Series features local, regional and national artists presenting their work to further the education and inspiration of the arts in the form of workshops, discussions and performances for our community. Past Artists have included: Mark Growden, Ananda Bena Weber and Cami Thompson. This season Mary Bennett will present Improvisation, Tony DeGeiso engages with director salons and Holly Natwora presents a Viewpoints workshop. We will also present a Master Workshop in 2014. This Season Brüka is also collaborating with VSA Arts and The Kennedy Center with a playwrighting residency in the local schools with Sandra Neace.
ABOUT BRUKA THEATRE In their 21st season in downtown Reno, Brüka has been named "Best Theatre Company" by The News and Review sixteen years running. Brüka Theatre is a leader in the region, recognized for its artists, productions and theatre for children series since it's founding in 1992. Central to its commitment is the reinvestigation of contemporary and classic plays and developing new plays within Brüka's Artistic Collective, which include winners of the Nevada Arts Council and Sierra Arts Foundation artist grants and local best actor honors.
