Adeem the Artist, chosen name Adeem Maria, is a pansexual, non-binary country music and folk artist who views themselves as on a march towards actualization.

Adeem is a seventh-generation Carolinian, a makeshift poet, singer-songwriter, storyteller, and blue-collar artist. They reside in the hills of East Tennessee with their wife, toddler, and two small cats where they write & record music.

Adeems music deals in heavy topics that many other contemporary country artists never touch: gender identity, sexual orientation, the racist past of America, the loss of innocence, and the tragic duality of Southern culture, just to name a few. This has garnered them much praise from some music outlets but also disdain from many others. Adeem continues to stand by their work, defending their creative choices to people who misrepresent them or would choose to ignore the messages and themes of their music. They strive to promote healing and compassion through their songs, in a day and age where such strength and love seem to be in short supply.
