Eilen Jewell Band, Live at Pitchfork Social
Hailed as one of Americas most intriguing, creative and idiosyncratic voices by American Songwriter, Eilen Jewell has built her career the old-fashioned way, touring relentlessly with the kind of undeniable live show that converts the uninitiated into instant acolytes. Over nearly two decades on the road, the Idaho native has crisscrossed the US, Europe, and Australia countless times, playing an endless series of headline and festival dates in addition to sharing bills with the likes of Lucinda Williams, Loretta Lynn, Mavis Staples, Wanda Jackson, George Jones, Emmylou Harris and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Eilens fans have marvelled at her warmth, unique wit, and onstage humour. Her song writing is a blend of influences from early blues, rockabilly and surf-noir to 1960s-era rock and roll. Her repertoire includes everything from up-tempo rockers that swing to stunning, lyrically poetic ballads.
Food and drink sales start at 6:00 pm. Show starts at 7:30 pm.
