About the film:
Hyper-ambitious teenage cinephile Lawrence Kweller, circa 2003, dreams of attending film school at NYU. To try to raise the hefty tuition fee, Lawrence gets his dream job at the local video store. Wracked with anxiety about his future, Lawrence begins alienating the most important people in his life - his best friend Matt, his single mother, Terri - all while developing a complicated friendship with his older female manager, Alana. As graduation looms ever closer, a series of painful conflicts force Lawrence to realize that hes a pretentious asshole.
(Chandler Levack, Canada, 2022, 100 min, in English)
Utterly charming Isaiah Lehtinen is a revelation. Cult MTL
That special film that manages to blend its comedy with more serious undertones and does it all in this warm nostalgic hug. Live For Films

Accessibility
Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter.
The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
If you have additional specific questions about accessibility at our venue, please contact our Patron Services Manager at maria@nwfilmforum.org
