A HUNDRED THOUSAND ANGELS
May 2009 offers a rare opportunity to see the uniquely talented singer and songwriter LUCINDA DRAYTON live in Los Angeles, with the artist whose music has provided inspiration, support and comfort around the globe appearing in a special Mothers Day Celebration concert at the Electric Lodge in Venice CA on Sunday, May 10th 2009 at 7pm.
The British based artist wrote her first song at the age of six, joined her first band aged fifteen, and looked set for commercial success after writing the number one hit, The Real Thing for Tony Di Bart, securing a record deal with EMI Publishing and releasing her debut album Suicidal Angel.
Her subsequent discovery of Raja Yoga Meditation however brought changes not only to her life, but her voice and to her music, both of which became softer and more peaceful and pure.
This change was not one that appealed to EMI who promptly dropped her, as did her manager, a development that would set her free to create the music she was born to make.
Her independent record label Blissful Records has enabled Lucinda to create music that serves a greater purpose than simple financial gain. The result is music that has helped provide inspiration, comfort, hope, clarity and the strength to go in difficult and challenging times to so many.
Lucinda Drayton chose not to fit into the boxes the music industry was creating for her and many of her fans around the world will thank god she didn't.
That freedom has allowed her to produce music from the warmth of her heart and the depths of her soul.
To produce music designed to inspire, to help, and to heal, rather than solely for financial gain.
