New California Wines with Jon Bonné
Join the California wine revolution with San Francisco Chronicle Wine Editor Jon Bonné and a panel of local winemakers as they dig in to the history and future of California winemaking as described in Bonne's debut book, The New California Wine.
New California Wines is a richly photographed and refreshingly reported guide to the current renaissance in California winemaking. In it, Bonné paints a vivid portrait of the wine industry in California and uncovers the stories behind the next generation of innovators, experimenters, and artisans who have turned the tide of winemaking.
Bonné will read selections from the book, philosophize with the winemaker panelists, and take audience questions. Joining him on the panel will be David Hirsch of Hirsch Vineyards, Duncan Arnot and Nathan Roberts of Arnot-Roberts, and Ted and Heidi Lemon of Littorai.
Following the talk there will be a book signing and a tasting of some of the Sonoma County wines featured in the book including: Arnot-Roberts, Littorai, Hirsch Vineyards, Anthill Farms, Lioco, Copain, Anthill Farms and Limerick Lane.
As wine editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, Jon Bonné covers wine, spirits and other libations throughout California and around the world. His work in food and wine journalism has earned awards from the Association of Food Journalists and the James Beard Foundation.
