The Last Treaty
It happened years ago that the last men and women left to find help. The young ones learned to survive on their own. They developed laws, rights and duties. They became modern pioneers exploring a world that once was alive. They search for oxygen reserves, new water sources, any sign of life outside the pressure dome where they must now live protected. Small groups explore without rest. The sky grows dark. Ocean levels rise. Finally, evacuation is initiated. "Stop!" A voice breaks through the dome's radio receiver,"Sky Dome Command, this is Galileo, we've found something!"
The Last Treaty is a story for the Earth and its children. A path to find our relationship with the world around us. Based on the ideas and traditional stories from the Native People of this Land, The Last Treaty is a call to action. Through simple gesture and movement, the Imaginary Youth Ensemble's adaptation of these stories teach us to listen, imagine, and to work for a better future. Join in our circle where everything is reflected, join in our quest, join in The Last Treaty.
