Yiddish is an international diasporic culture, meaning it can be found in many places one might not expect around the globe. In this multimedia presentation, the director of the Yiddish Book Centers Wexler Oral History Project, Christa Whitney, will give a tour of the Yiddish worldfrom Lithuania to Colorado, rural Argentina to Zimbabwe, and morethrough oral history. She will reflect on the parallels and local influences of Yiddish culture drawn on her work traveling to many of these Yiddish enclaves over the past 14 years. _____________________________________________________________
