Poised- A One Man Juggling Journey is an experience that aims to have you question the absolute limits of what is humanly possible. Brought to you by one of Chicago's top jugglers, Poised is a family friendly show full of laughs and amazing feats of balance and coordination.
Arik Mendelevitz is the CEO of Raphael Entertainment, a graduate of both Circus Warehouse (New York City) and The Actors Gymnasium's (Evanston) professional circus training programs. He has spent the past six years building up and refining "Poised" and is excited to bring all the lessons he's learned to CCPAF. Bathhouse John's Magnificent Menagerie of Magical Circus Creatures!
Alderman Bathhouse John of Chicago has become unstuck in time! A few weeks ago, a magician was poised to perform the second half of this show, and alas! Through a mix-up of mystical proportions, a portal was opened to the year 1906 and Bathhouse John Coughlin, seizing the opportunity, quickly switched places with the silly Sorceror!
Now, he comes to you, for one afternoon only, to show you the magical creatures that he has populated his Colorado resort park with
Being an Alderman of a multitude of skills, he has trained these animals in a wide awry of aerial circus arts. Why yes, you shall see a penguin juggle, an elephant fly, and more!
And will he read his greatest poetic creations? OF COURSE HE WILL!
