My four week course will begin with an introduction to the principles of improv, including games and exercises designed to focus on the skills utilized in improvisational activities. Once a proper foundation has been established, we will work on the fundamentals of improv in a variety of group activities to hone our teamwork and have fun. These exercises will help improve interpersonal skills, listening skills, public speaking, group mind and conflict resolution. The goal of this workshop is to expose attendees to the wonderful world of improv. By the end of the four weeks, participants can expect to have a solid understanding of improv and the confidence to apply those skills to everyday life.
This class is taught by Bruce Butler, the director of Laff Co., Oxford's award winning Improv Comedy Company.
