Chris Pureka w/ Lo Pony on Vashon Island
Chris Pureka returns to Vashon Island, WA on May 9th with Lo Pony to play at Snapdragon Bakery & Cafe. Tickets are $20, all ages welcome.General admission seating.
Chris Pureka is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter based in Portland, Oregon. Their elegant emotionality as a vocalist and flair as a lyricist have garnered them favorable comparisons to Chan Marshall, Bruce Springsteen, and Patty Griffin. Over many years of touring on both sides of the Atlantic, they have shared the stage with such diverse and esteemed artists as The Lumineers, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Cowboy Junkies, Haley Heynderickx, and Ani DiFranco. They have had their songs featured on such television shows as Brothers and Sisters and Shameless, as well as a song featured in the Sundance featured indie film, The Royal Road. The Longest Year is Purekas 8th release.

Lo Pony is a queer folk group based in Portland, Or. Their sound is composed of delicate harmonies discussing loss, nostalgia, and a slow appreciation for the beauty of everyday life. Lo Pony's music stems from years of steadfast friendship since meeting in college in 2008.
