Native American Cultural Competency & Town Hall Meeting
This will include an overview of the diversities of Native American peoples and cultures, insights into applying cultural competency, a discussion of various health disparities impacting many Indigenous communities, and a screening and discussion of the powerful documentary, "Unseen Tears: The Impact of Native American Residential Boarding Schools in Western New York." The training is being presented by Pete Hill, Special Initiatives Director at Native American Community Services which has offices in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Lockport, Rochester, and Syracuse, New York.
This session is hosted by the Seneca County Substance Abuse Coalition as part of their "Town Hall Meeting" schedule. This is a free training open to all interested persons.
