Chris Pahud & Tom Pirozzoli
For more than thirty years Toms simple path has been a life rich in music, art and travel, yielding a career filled with nine studio albums, numerous songwriting credits, and collaborations with other artists such as Willy Porter, Joyce Andersen and David Wilcox. Toms sophisticated guitar work forms the rich backdrop for his warm tenor that delivers melodies and lyrics exploring the full range of the human and global experience. Tom was named a winner in MUSICIAN magazines Best Unsigned Band Contest, resulting in a national Warner Bros. Records release. His subsequent album Travels (Great Northern Arts) spent 13 weeks in the AAA Charts top 40 albums. Several of his original recordings also reside in the Smithsonian Folkways Collection via Fast Folk Musical Magazine.
Chris grew up in Needham Massachusetts in a family of classical musicians. By Junior year he was playing out regularly in a folk quartet named, The Town Dump, drawing heavily from the songs of Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, The Youngbloods and Ian and Sylvia. In January 1985, Chris and the band No Show Show Band played their first gig at Homegrown Coffeehouse. Since the 1990s, he has been playing in coffeehouses and festivals around the Boston area. Chriss strength in performance lies in his fluid bass/baritone voice and he is drawn to narrative folk songs in the traditions of Fred Neil, Tom Russell, David Olney, Stan and Garnet Rogers. Chris has written some original songs and collaborated with Quincy poet, Bill Thibodeau as well.
They will be joined by guitarist Seth Connelly.
Chris Pahud sings with all his heart, and his heart is huge. His voice and songs come from such a beautiful place, I smile every time I hear him sing and witness him doing what comes so natural to him his gifts make this world a better place. Mary Gauthier
