Àirdan at Edinburgh FC / EFC
The four-piece band, Àirdan, are yet another in a long line of exciting trad bands sprung from the numerous musical pubs of Edinburgh. Their high energy grooves and dynamic arrangements see melodies and riffs juggled between fiddle (Paul Sinclair), accordion (Coll Williamson), guitar (David Lennon) and percussion (Ewa Adamiec).
As a small but very well played tuneful madhouse of cultures and influences, this multinational group of musicians first met in 2017 through their shared thirst for Scottish and Irish trad music, and joined forces to captivate listeners with their fresh and exciting take on their unique and shared musical heritages.
The band didn't form however until 2021, but already have performed at events and festivals in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Galloway and Finland. They were chosen as a "Highly Recommended" act at the Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections 2022. They have recently released their first single, and are working on an album to come out later in the year.

Accessibility
UCC has relatively easy access for wheelchair users. There's a portable ramp to enable the wheelchair to get past 3-4 steps from the street to the main door. Once inside everything is on the same level (ground floor) - performance room, bar and disabled-friendly toilets.
