The Cure for Racism
Join Ruth in this 4-hour workshop Intensive exploring The Cure for Racism. Drawing from her life experiences documented in her book, RUTH: When I was thirty-five years old, I became Black, Ruth brings to life the how tos of her realization that racism is 100% curable.

Ruths strategy for success were fostered throughout her early childhood when she was made to feel less-than for having black skin among the Caucasians in her family who raised her. Being biracial Black gave her perspective and answers on how to heal our nations racial divides.

This interactive exercise will include Ruths writings; collective discoveries from within the group; and a 1960s music sing-along for fun and healing. Attendees perspectives will be heard as life examples and insights are shared. The group think tank will compose a plan of collective tools that can help us endure the challenges of racism and work toward eradicating the problem.

At the conclusion, there will be a meditation session presented by Laura Toro (Yoga Instructor E-RYT500), for healing our past wounds; to gather courage for the future; and for centering in the moment. Laura presents Sound Healing, Crystal and Tibetan Singing Bowls, and Hand Carved Flute Music Meditation.

Take part in The Cure for Racism Intensive as women gather to preserve wisdom and hope in a hurting world. We all must continue to nurture our inner strength with knowledge and compassion in order to serve in the days ahead.   www.ruthkingblues.com
