Cool Roof Problems and Solutions
The design and roofing industry are chugging along with ever-increasing installations of white single-ply roof membranes in both new and re-roofing applications. Many are and others will ultimately suffer from excessive moisture build-up accumulating in the roof assembly. Learn why this is occurring, what the industry us saying about it (and not saying), and how to avoid the problem.
Learning Objectives:
1. Learn what the industry is experiencing and what we have been seeing.
2. Brief description of the Hygrothermic characteristics of warm and cool, low-slope roof assemblies.
3. Find out what specific design methods to consider for reducing the moisture rick of cool roof assemblies.
4. List and review of articles and studies related to the issue.
