Working More Effectively with DSD: A workshop for AIA design professionals Thursday, May 15, 2014
AIA San Diego is pleased to announce that the City of San Diego Development Services Department (DSD) has agreed to host an informal workshop for San Diego County AIA members to help practitioners work more effectively with the department. Senior DSD staff will be on-hand to discuss various issues that pertain to meeting the regulatory and administrative requirements for development in San Diego. In addition, a veteran "plan runner" will offer insights to the practical issues that impact the pace of plan review & approval. Don't miss this opportunity to gain an insider's perspective on how to work with this important office as well as to meet with the individuals, including the newly appointed DSD Director, Robert Vacchi, responsible for managing the procedural and regulatory requirements impacting construction. Topics will include Discretionary Project Management/Expedited Services, Ministerial Project Management, Field Inspection Resolution, Application Submittal Process, among others. There'll be plenty of time for Q & A's.
