Two-Day Solo Show Workshop with Comedy Central Stage Artistic Director Paul Stein
A two day workshop in how to take your solo show and turn it into a piece that best showcases your story and your specific gifts. Taught by Paul Stein, the former Associate Producer of the HBO Workspace and the current Artistic Director of the Comedy Central Stage in Hollywood, this workshop will show you how to create and make decisive choices with your show... not obvious ones. Through lecture, handouts, video presentations, discussion, and an opportunity for critical analysis of your work, this two-day workshop will touch upon writing, shaping, performing and producing your unique idea. Helpful to the beginner or experienced solo performer. Mr. Stein's unique look at solo performance gained from more than ten years of working in with solo shows in Hollywood and at numerous festivals, will provide a perspective that cannot be missed.

About Your Instructor
Paul Stein
Formerly, the Associate Producer of the HBO Workspace and Talent Consultant for the HBOs Comedy Festival, Paul Stein has coordinated, produced, and seen -- hundreds of one-person shows. Currently, Mr. Stein is the Artistic Director of the Comedy Central Stage in Hollywood, a development venue sponsored by the network. As a director, Paul has staged numerous solo shows in Los Angeles, New York and Toronto, including performances at the New York International Fringe, Summer Works Theatre Festival, Toronto International Fringe and the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO. As an instructor, he enjoys teaching his solo performance workshop at various theaters in Southern California. He is a graduate of L.A.C.C. Theater Academy, Cal State University, Los Angeles; and recently completed a successful stint as Artistic Director of Moving Arts Theater, an ensemble company dedicated to producing new works.
