Earth Beer & Za: A Vegan Beer & Pizza Pairing Dinner
Dimo's Pizza and Ale Asylum present "Earth, Beer, & 'Za," a four-course vegan craft beer and pizza event. The ticketed event will take place at Dimo's Wicker Park, located at 1615 N. Damen Avenue, from 7:00 9:00pm on April 22nd.
Dean Coffey, Ale Asylum brewmaster, and Dimitri Syrkin-Nikolau, Dimo's Pizza owner and founder, will introduce each course with a discussion of the pizza and craft beer on offer, as well as the creative process involved in developing the pairing. In keeping with the Earth Day theme, the selection of vegan slices will be completely comprised of locally sourced, organic ingredients from Chicagoland farms. A short pour of a vegan craft beer from Ale Asylum will be served alongside each slice, including the brewery's Unshadowed Hefe-Weizen, a session beer officially launching next month. At 9pm, the doors will open to the public for an after party featuring Mad Bread, a local bluegrass band, along with drink specials available to event attendees.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40 on Brown Paper Tickets or for $45 at the door on the day of the event. Attendees will spend two hours eating their way through four distinct vegan slices paired with four complimentary vegan craft brews. There is a cut off of one hundred attendees for the event, so interested guests should purchase tickets early to ensure a spot.
