Join us for an evening with author David Kennedy interviewed by Leslie Berlin. Kennedy, a distinguished historian, is renowned for his expertise in American History. His insightful analysis and engaging teaching style make complex historical narratives come alive. Berlin, also an American historian of the Silicon Valley, will facilitate a live interview on stage with Kennedy. Several of Kennedys distinguished titles including Freedom from Fear: The American People in World War II, The American People in the Great Depression,Over Here: The First World War and American Society, and others will be available for purchase at the event as well as the opportunity to autograph these books. The proceeds from this event will provide tuition assistance for families in the St. Elizabeth Seton School community.
Leslie Berlin is a historian who has chronicled the rise of tech culture and the history of Silicon Valley for more than two decades. She is the founding executive director of the Steve Jobs Archive and chair of the advisory group for the Silicon Valley Archives at Stanford University, where she served as Historian for nearly two decades. She is the editor of Make Something Wonderful: Steve Jobs in his own words and author of two books: The Man Behind the Microchip, a biography of Intel co-founder Robert Noyce; and Troublemakers: Silicon Valleys Coming of Age. She also wrote the Prototype column for the Sunday Business section of the New York Times.
