Broadway Chamber Players Presents "Black & Blue"
Broadway Chamber Players leaves the elegance of European Romanticism behind to focus on the wild rhythms and cinematic scope of American music from the early twentieth century. Join us for a rush-hour concert that brings together four of Broadway's finest doublers to perform the music of Gershwin, Rudy Wiedoeft, and more.
Featuring Todd Groves, Steve Kenyon, Jonathan Levine, and Chad Smith, performing on an eclectic mix of instruments from the saxophone, clarinet, and flute families.
Please note: Tickets will be sold at the door--$20 for Prime Seating and $15 for General Admission. Ensure your seat and save $5 off each ticket buy purchasing online!
About Broadway Chamber Players:
Broadway Chamber Players comprises the finest instrumentalists, composers, and conductors across classical, jazz, and new-music fields, unified by one common thread--we all perform on Broadway. BCP seeks to continue Broadway's great tradition of live music by bringing its musicians from the pit to the stage, further enriching the Theater District concert scene by programming diverse chamber-music concerts and providing a fresh approach to hearing some of New York City's finest musicians in an intimate setting.
Our beloved partner in this exciting venture is St. Malachy's-The Actors' Chapel, which has remained an active, integral part of the dynamic Times Square/Theater District community since its founding in 1902. With the chapel's neo-Gothic pillars and superb acoustics serving as our home venue, Broadway Chamber Players will be able to showcase this living art form--right in the heart of Times Square.
