Mother's Day on the Farm

11am: Everyone will meet at the lovely Greenhouse Bed and Breakfast -- just down the road from Mint Creek Farm -- where you'll enjoy a fabulous brunch prepared by chef/owner Guia Hoffman. According to Harry, no one does brunch better than Guia--and all who know her are inclined to agree. Mint Creek meats will be featured, as will local produce (from the Greenhouse Bed & Breakfast and Three Plaid Farmers) when seasonally available.

Ham and Egg Crepe squares

Cheese and Potato Tart

Baked French Toast garnished with strawberries, blueberries and peaches

Pulled Beef Sirloin, avocado, baby arugula, red bell pepper,& roasted pepitas over baguettes

Crustless vegetable quiche

Pulled lamb and couscous

Roast duck in ginger-orange coulis

Fruit compote topped with zinfandel reduction

Rhubarb tart

Bring your favorite bottle of wine to complement your brunch. Orange juice will be available if you choose to bring a libation to add to it. Iced water with lemon and herbs will be included.

1pm: Everyone will gather on the trolley and head to Mint Creek Farm for a first-hand, interactive tour of our farm, where you'll get out amongst the animals and learn all the ins and outs of the place from head farmer Harry Carr. We recommend wearing shoes you don't mind getting dirty.

These are incredibly kid-friendly events, and might just be the perfect way to celebrate the special mom in your family's life. We'd love to see you!
