Topics include: Appreciating the Diversities & Wisdoms of Native Cultures, Teachings, and Perspectives Understanding the Profound Impact of Historical Traumas & Continuing Challenges Developing More Effective Strategies to Support Native Wellness
Doors open & Registration begins at 12 pm Please feel free to bring & eat your lunch here before the training starts - lunch is "on your own" Training commences at 12:30 pm Break & Refreshments at 2:30 pm (approximately) Training resumes, 3 pm Session ends by 4:30 pm
This specific training session is provided through the "INDIGENOUS HEALTH AND WELLBEING PROMOTION" (ihawp) Program at Native American Community Services of Erie & Niagara Counties, Inc. (NACS). NACS offices are located in Rochester, Syracuse, Lockport, Niagara Falls, and Buffalo, New York.
The IHAWP Program at NACS is supported by the New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute, as well as businesses, foundations, and caring individuals, like you!
