*UTS Presents* Fefu and Her Friends
Directed by: Ruby O'Malley Written by: Maria Irene Fornes
UTS strives to make theater as accessible as possible. If our ticket prices are cost prohibitive, please reach out to uwuts97@gmail.com
DESCRIPTION It's a lovely spring weekend in 1935. Eight young society women who support arts education gather at a New England country manor to prepare their yearly fundraising pitch: six are friends from college; two are recent additions to the group; two are former lovers; one now uses a wheelchair for an unexplainable injury; and one is unhappily married and plays dangerous games with her spouse for all to see. We follow them through the house from group conversations to intimate pairs, as they exchange stories of love and loss, pain and friendship, dreams and nightmares.
Run time: Fefu and Her Friends runs approximately 3 hours with 1 15 minute intermission and 1 10 minute intermission.
CONTENT WARNING This performance contains simulated gunshots, usage of a prop gun, and violence. Please reach out to uwuts97@gmail.com for specifics!
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS This show is a piece of Promenade Theater which means that audience members will travel to several locations within the theater space. If you require accommodations or want more information please contact uts@uwuts.org
UTS TICKET POLICY Because late entrances and seating can be disruptive to both actors and audience members, doors will be roped off promptly at 2:00 PM or 7:30 PM depending on if the show is a matinee or an evening performance. Please plan ahead and give yourself ample time for travel, parking, and other necessary allowances. If you have not claimed your tickets by 2:00 PM or 7:00 PM, they will be released for any patrons on our wait list for that night's performance.
The Undergraduate Theater Society does not provide refunds, though, in specific circumstances, arrangements can be made to attend alternate performance dates; contact uwuts97@gmail.com
BUYING ONLINE OR AT THE DOOR Online ticket sales for a particular performance end 12 hours before show time. There will always be approximately 10 tickets available for purchase at the door. Ticket sales at the door begin an hour before show time, so to ensure that you are able to purchase a ticket, show up early! We accept cash, checks, and credit cards, and we participate in TeenTix!
