Greg Greenway
Greg's music has touched people all over the world, one of the strongest, and finest voices in folk music.
Gospel, rock, blues, jazz, world music, all blended into a multi-instrumental, genre crossing style, through the singular lens of Greenways own humanity and affinity for the audience. Centered in the singer/songwriter tradition, rooted in social awareness of artists like Woody Guthrie.
He has played Carnegie Hall, NPR's All Things Considered and Mountain Stage. He considers the height of his achievements as having "Driving in Massachusetts" played on Car Talk . He has collaborated with Pat Wictor and Joe Jencks in Brother Sun, and with his beloved friend Reggie Harris, in Deeper Than The Skin, reflections on Race in America , Confessional one moment, rambunctiously disarming the next, few modern folk singers can own a coffeehouse stage as completely as Greenway. [Boston Globe]
A profoundly rich poet and musician. Folk Music is too narrow a description.
